Discovering the unique nature and history of Gozo immediately springs to mind, and there is no better or more enjoyable way to experience this than by walking or cycling. On Gozo these are year-round activities. Spring and autumn are especially good, but don't forget the winter. Winter on Gozo comes with mild temperatures and an average of 5 to 6 hours of sunshine per day making it an ideal Winter Break to escape those cold and dark months back home.
Choose a country lane or cliff top path and you will soon be greeted by the fragrant scent of wild herbs and the perfume of wild flowers. Flowers such as the enchanting Caper [Capparis orientalis], or the delicate Cape Sorrel [Oxalis pes-caprae], the one the Gozitans affectionately refer to as ' The English Weed', as well as many others that adorn the countryside. Then come the evening, what better way than to ponder the day's activity with a glass or two of wine and watch the sunset. So glorious, they are just, 'Oh So Gozo!'
