So tell me about Gozo!

Within the Maltese archipelago with its proud and distinguished history, lies the small Island of Gozo, rich in culture and the traditions of centuries past and with it's own wealth of unique history, all just waiting for you to discover.

An Island of just 67 km² in size, it has a population of around 31,000. Just a short 25-minute ferry ride across the channel that separates it from Malta, you will find a much greener and fertile Island, abundant in orange groves, vines and other plentiful agriculture. The beautiful Island of Gozo.

Gozo enjoys the enviable reputation of being virtually crime free, which in today's world is rare and which the Gozitans fiercely guard and defend.

It has been said that the Gozitans are the friendliest people in the Mediterranean. We are convinced that once you have tasted their renowned hospitality you too will agree.

STEPS AT MUNXAR

If out walking and you are passing a Gozitan, just smile and say hello and chances are you will be greeted with that famous 'Gozitan Smile'. But beware, you may well also find yourself engaged in a conversation that could last for hours, because that is so typical on this friendly Island.

Relaxed and peaceful, where the pace of the outside world is but a fleeting memory, you too will begin to unwind and enjoy the slower Gozitan way of life. It is something that makes this small Island so special, and chances are you too will soon be saying, 'So relaxing, so good, and 'Oh So Gozo!'
